I’ve always heard that David was a man after God’s own heart.
It clearly wasn’t because he didn’t sin, because David committed adultery and murder.

David was someone who bloomed where he was planted, whether it be in a field with a lion trying to take his father’s sheep, or in a cave cutting off a piece of King Saul’s robe as he used the bathroom.
This should remind us that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do with what happens to you.
Often we try so hard to get somewhere else that we fail to become all we can be where we are, which is the real journey.
