In the past few weeks, we’ve learned about potential “Joy Jackers” in our lives.
They are unrepentance, unforgiveness, ungratefulness, and as we talked about this week, unbelief.
My husband opened with the story from Mark 6:1-6.
It says that the people in Jesus’ hometown thought He was only a carpenter.
They didn’t believe that He could do miracles or have such wisdom, and they were offended at Him!
Because of their unbelief, He could do no mighty works there.
Chris said, “When we limit Jesus, we lose joy. When we limit unbelief, we loose joy”.
That is powerful!
He also said, “We have the ability through unbelief to limit what God wants to do”.
Sometimes you just have to take a step on faith, like Jesus’ disciple, Peter, in Matthew 14:25-33.
What are you believing for God to do in your life?
How can you take that first step of faith?
