What God Really Wants Us To Do With His Church
This is a guest post written by my incredible wife, Courtney Foster. You can connect with her on Twitter.
The church is the only entity that Jesus died for.
What does God want us to do with His church?
Take ownership.
Ownership In The Kingdom Means:
- You live for what Christ died for
In turn, others will come to know Jesus.
- You die for what you want to live for
That may not make much sense, but it is explained here:
Mark 8:34-35: “34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.”
There are things in our lives that have to die… Things like selfish desires that don’t glorify God.
Earth is only our temporary home, and the Kingdom of God is eternal.
Let’s live with eternity on our minds!
