It is an odd choice to make it a profanity don’t you think?
I mean we don’t do that with any other major crisis or calamities do we? When it the last time you heard someone say “Peal Harbor No”, or “What in the holocaust do you think you are doing”?
Why do you think people do that with Hell?
The bible describes hell as a place where the fire never dies and the worm cannot be quenched. It is a place of perpetual punishment.
Hell was not designed for man, it was designed for the punishment of Lucifer and his fallen angels, however when man sinned, it made us susceptible to the same judgment as the demons, the only difference is there is a Way out through Christ.
Jesus paid the death penalty for us, so now we do not have to go to hell, we can experience eternal life through a relationship with Christ.
Why do you think our culture uses hell as a profanity instead of a place?
